My dreams come true - 2006

Ever since I was a little child, I have always dreamed of myself studying under a tree in a huge lawn and in a very nice medieval school - that is, a college overseas from Hong Kong.  Evidently, I did not have the luxury or means to be able to study overseas when I was young.

After settled down in Sydney, I began to feel very bored, with no full time job, no satisfaction, etc etc.  Last year, I started to ask the Gohonzon to give me a direction.  I did not know what I want to do, to get a job, and do what?

To study?  What subjects?  Then I came across a lady when I was on a tour to Spain who is also from Sydney.  As we toured the museums, I told her that I was very interested to know more about art but was not able to find suitable courses in Sydney.  Then she told me that Sydney U has a very good course.

On my return to Sydney, I recevied a magazine from the Gallery of NSW and in the magazine, I saw an ad from Sydney U on a course called The History of Art - The Western style which teaches us the development of art from cave to canvas.  It covers all periods, paintings and painters ie Michaelangelo etc.

I was thrilled and enrolled. Last week I started school. I tried to grasp in every word (like a sponge) of what the lecturer said and even had a tape recorder to record her speech thoughout the lesson.  The things she said are exactly the things I wanted to know.  I was sooo happy.

Afterwards, we were given a tour of the library.  As I walked along the paths and the roads in the campus, smelling the nice fragrance of flowers, grass, and tress I then realized that my dreams have finally come true.  I am studying in a University! How I thank the Gohonzon for guiding me to the right direction to achieve my happiness.

What I want to say is, in the course of our lives, there are lots and lots of times when we are not sure about what we are going to do, where we are heading, what is the right thing for us etc etc.  At such times, please go and ask the Gohonzon, sincerely ask and all your questions will be answered.
