last night i saw on TV a group of hong kong artists, about 40+ in number, singing a japanese song called "you are not alone". they say 'dont be afraid of the rain, the wind, the snow, the fierce sun, i want to be this person'. everyone was trying their best to pronounce accurate japanese, singing with their hearts and at the end they all stretched out their helping hands.
i was moved. i could see 40+ buddhas, singing and opening their hearts to support and encourage the japanese people. this is buddhist practice indeed.
in my next email, maybe we can share some thoughts as to "what is buddhist practice?"
cheers
