42 degress and a baby bird

my dear friends and family
a couple of days ago, sydney had its hottest weather ever: 42 degrees in the city. andrew and i had a meeting in the city at about noon and as soon as i stepped out in the streets, i almost fainted.
back home, we turned on the air conditioning in the study room and i virtually stayed in the room the rest of the day - all the time considering myself how LUCKY i am to be able to have air conditioning (at the moment, not every home in sydney has air conditioning because this was not required years ago). this hot weather lasted until mid night and had given me a headache, despite the air conditioning.
the next morning, the weather started to cool down and as i opened my door for my morning walk, i was so happily surprised to see a little bird of paradise shot up in front of my door!
we have two big bird of paradise plants (see photo) which were already there when we moved in the house. a couple of months ago i began to notice a little plant with leaves starting to grow in another corner at the front (how? i dont know because i did not plant it but i was happy that it grows in the right area).
because of the hot weather this plant begins to flower quickly and i was sooo happy to see this baby bird shooting up and looking so proud and pretty. (see photo)
this is the same with life: once we have overcome a difficult situation, we will begin to see all the benefits coming from it. i know some of my friends may be struggling, but please hold on, 'chant nam myo ho renge kyo' for the strength and wisdom to get thru, and you will begin to enjoy the benefits.
cheers
